The 2013 Summer Reading Program
"Dig Into Reading"

This year's Summer Reading Program

Dig Into Reading

begins on Thursday, June 27

Magician Greg McAdams and his trusty dog Alex

will kick off our Summer Reading Program

with a Magic Show on June 27 at 1:30 p.m.

This is how the Summer Reading program works:

  • Register for Dig Into Reading in the children's room or by logging onto our online Summer Reading Log.
  • Keep track of your summer reading online or on paper logs (available in the Children's Room).
  • Write reviews to post on the online reading log and read reviews by other children just like you.
  • Come into the library for great programs, including a magic show, storytelling, a visit from live diggin' critters (including a hedgehog and a red fox), Australian music and drop-in crafts. Click here to see a schedule of summer programs.
  • All participants in "Dig Into READING" are invited to an ice cream party on Thursday, August 15.

Dig Into READING is sponsored by the Friends of the Wayland Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
