The Wayland Free Public Library has adopted a number of policies to help ensure all our patrons are treated fairly and equitably. Library staff proposes and writes policies, and the Board of Trustees, who represent the community, vote them into practice.
Libraries in Massachusetts are required by law (Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 78, Section 33) to adopt a written policy for selection and use of library materials and facilities. The Board of Library Trustees has adopted the following policies in accordance with this law.
