Weds, April 17th, 7:30pm – What kind of bird is that? How can I attract birds to my yard? What is the right seed? Where is the best place for birding in Wayland? What kinds of birds will I see? Ornithologist Brian Harris will give a brief presentation on birding in Wayland, showcasing his photography. Then we’ll open the floor up for questions!

Brian Harris is the town of Wayland’s Conservation Commission Land Manager. Previously he worked at the Rachel Carson (Maine) and Monomoy (Massachusetts) National Wildlife refuges, and has additional experience doing environmental field work and research in both Florida and Rhode Island. Brian has a strong reputation as a local birder. He graduated from Wayland High School in 2000, and earned a degree in environmental science from Castleton State College in Vermont.
