Teen volunteers are always welcome at the Wayland Free Public Library to help in various capacities. Volunteering is available for 6th – 12th graders. Middle school volunteers under 13 require parental permission.

Current volunteer opportunities include:
  • Library page (includes shelving, shelf reading, and other tasks related to library materials)
  • Graphic design (create flyers, social media graphics, etc.)
  • Running your own program (a librarian will assist with advertising, room reservation, and more)
  • Running club events (needs community element to qualify for service hours)
  • Assisting a librarian with programming
  • Creating and preparing crafts for the Children’s Room
  • Book Buddies (read to younger children at the library)
  • Teen Advisory Board
Students are also encouraged to propose their own ideas!
