2026 Summer Reading Program
for children in grades preK-5

Plant a Seed, Read! will start on June 15

We will kick off our programming with a juggling performance by Henry the Juggler on June 17.

Participants can sign up for our program at the library or online. Kids are invited to enter our online raffle for prizes!

  • Come to the library and pick up a goody bag, a paper log sheet, and a Summer Reading Lanyard.
  • For a full list of related events, click here
  • Check out the Summer Reading lists compiled by the youth services librarians at the Wayland Public Library.  Many titles are available on Libby, Hoopla, and on Sora.
  • Keep track of your summer reading online or on a paper log.
  • You will earn virtual badges for time read and buttons for your Summer Reading Lanyard.
  • Programming highlights include a Juggling Performance by Henry the Juggler, Weekly Sustainable Craft programs, Parody Playhouse Family Concert, Reading with Worms, Kids DnD, Stomp, Chomp, and Read! Magic Show with Jungle Jim, All About Bees with Beekeeper Mel Gadd, Amazing Animals with Joy from Joys of Nature, Making Autobiographical Comics with Jonathan Toddd, Jenny the Juggler, a KPop Demon Hunters Party, and a Toe Jam Puppet Band Show. All participants are invited to an Ice Cream Social on August 13.
