Jose Allende was born in Peru and holds an MA in Modern American Music from Longy School of Music. He is a versatile guitarist, arranger, composer and teacher, always exploring different rhythms, concepts and spirituality in music. He uses acoustic and electric guitars to fusion Afro-Peruvian & other South-American and Latin rhythms with contemporary jazz harmonies and different meters into his compositions. Jose is currently performing and teaching Jazz, South-American & Latin styles and Classical Guitar Music around Boston and New England area.
