Our Wayland: A Community Conversation for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we will be hosting a virtual discussion with lifelong human rights advocate and educator, Margie Yamamoto, as she shares her experience as a survivor of a Japanese internment camp during World War II and her family’s life in the United States. We will also be joined by Terrie Livingston of the Wayland Lived Experience Project to discuss her life in Wayland. Wayland resident Richard Lee will moderate a question and answer period and small group discussions will follow.
This event is free to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration opens Wednesday, April 21. Register by clicking here.
