Tuesday, June 1, 7:30 pm – *Video of this program* For many folks who live in affluent, predominantly White suburban communities like Wayland, we are often taught that it is taboo or offensive to discuss race. Even when wanting to engage in this topic, one might avoid it for fear of saying the wrong thing or being labeled as racist. However, when we avoid these conversations, racial inequities persist within our community.
In this interactive workshop, Rebecca will present strategies for engaging in conversations on race and racism as well as provide resources on antiracism efforts in Wayland and the metro-west area. Sign up for the zoom link: https://tinyurl.com/0601GP
