Alison Field-Juma
Alison is the executive director of OARS, a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect, improve and preserve the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord Rivers, their tributaries and watersheds, for public recreation, water supply, and wildlife habitat. She is vice-Chair of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Wild & Scenic River Stewardship Council, and is the chair of the Aquatic Invasives Management Subcommittee of the SuAsCo Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA).
Brian Donahue
Brian is Brandeis Associate Professor of American Environmental Studies specializing in American environmental studies, New England farm and forest history, sustainable agriculture, sustainable forestry, and land conservation. He co-founded and for 12 years directed Land’s Sake, the non-profit community farm in Weston, and sits on the board of the Thoreau Farm Trust and The Land Institute. He has led a History Paddle on the Sudbury in June for River Fest and may do so again this year. Brian and his family raise beef cattle, using rotational grazing methods, and pigs on a farm in Gill, MA.
Tom Sciacca
Tom is a longtime and passionate advocate for the awareness and protection of the wetlands and waterways of Wayland. He is a member of Wayland’s Energy and Climate Committee and has served as Wayland’s representative to the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Wild and Scenic River Stewardship Council since 1999.
