Mon, April 4, 12:00 pm – Do you have zero piano experience? Or maybe you took lessons 25 years ago and have forgotten it all? Join us for a single, lunchtime session with Susan Cohen, an experienced, friendly, local piano teacher. She’ll introduce you to the basics: where to put your fingers, how to read notes, and the names of the individual piano keys. She’ll also discuss the musical concepts of rhythm, phrasing, and meter while teaching a few beginning pieces.
You may not become an elite concert pianist, but you can still enjoy playing piano at any age or level, so long as you play artfully and meaningfully.For up to eight beginners or return piano students. An elementary understanding of musical notation is helpful.
