Calling all dinosaur enthusiasts! Borrow a Museum Discount Pass to learn about dinosaurs- and about how our ideas about them have changed over the years.
Visit the life-size T. Rex at the model and fossil collection at the Museum of Science: “Here, through fossils and life-size models, learn how paleontologists continue to compile evidence and change the way we view extinct animals.”
The Museum of Science’s first T. Rex model was created in the 1960s, but has been updated to the one you can visit today to better fit with today’s evidence of what the dinosaur might have looked like.
Meanwhile, the Harvard Museum of Natural History houses one of the first Triceratops skulls ever discovered!
Or, for a purely fun dinosaur interaction, visit Bessie, the great green dinosaur in front of the Discovery Museum in Acton— Civic-minded kids can even make campaign posters and vote this March for what hat Bessie’s should wear next.
