View a video of this program.

Monday, June 12 at 7:00 PM – George Tooker often depicted the tensions of modern life and inhuman bureaucracies. As a gay man, active in the Civil Rights movement, Tooker explored boundary-breaking subjects in his work while also conjuring powerful scenes of quiet beauty. This program provides an introduction to the artist, his life and his remarkable body of work.

Hosted by the Maynard Public Library in partnership with the Wayland and Lincoln Public Libraries.
