The Millennium Fund was established to provide a permanent source of supplementary funding for the Library. The Fund is designed to preserve the Library as a resource and meeting place for the Wayland community by underwriting programs and services that are not otherwise supported by the Town’s appropriations.

Over the years, funds from the Millennium Fund have been used to underwrite innovative programs and to purchase equipment and materials. The Millennium Fund has long supported our excellent English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESoL) training program.  It was responsible for the restoration of our beautiful rotunda and the installation of WiFi service. These are just a few examples how the Fund has been used to enhance the Library’s ability to serve the community.

The Millennium Fund is managed by the Wayland Trust Fund Commissioners, and distributions are made at the discretion of the Board of Library Trustees.

The Millennium Fund is a way for Wayland Library patrons and community members to make a tax-deductible gift to the Library in the form of memorial gifts, bequests, and annual gifts.
