Tour of SoWa

Categories:

Sunday, May 7 meet at 10:45 a.m. 1 Paul Sullivan Way.

SoWa is the leading art center of Boston, a community of artist studios, galleries, shops, restaurants, entrepreneurs, businesses and residences that believe in crafting quality, one-of-a-kind products and experiences.  Once known as a rundown warehouse district, the SoWa Art & Design district has experienced a renaissance, blossoming into a world-renowned retail and artist community in Boston’s South End. Because it is where the character in The Art Forger lives and works, we thought we would explore the neighborhood otherwise known as “South of Washington” during its annual art walk when we can visit artists in their studios.

Wayland resident and acclaimed photographer, Nasser K, will serve as our tour guide.

Participants will meet at 1 Paul Sullivan Way between 10:45 – 11 a.m.  Tour will begin promptly at 11 a.m.  Bring a water bottle and wear walking shoes.  Tour will occur rain or shine and will last a few hours with breaks. 1 Paul Sulliban Way is the back door of the Artist’s Building.  You may wait in the lobby if there is inclement weather.  Look for Nasser who will be wearing an Arts Wayland shirt.
