Fused Glass Workshop

Thurs, April 13, 7:00 PM – Create your own dichronic fused glass pendant!  Be inspired by colorful pre-cut and crushed glass. All materials included.  No experience necessary. Ages 13+. Register here.

Dichroic glass gets its name from the Greek words ”di,” for two, and ”chroma,” for color. Dichroic glass is multi-colored and reflective.  This beautiful glass was originally developed by NASA for use in satellite mirrors in the early 1990s.

Create your piece at the Library, and Deenie will bring it to her home studio for kiln-firing, then return it to the library in about 2 weeks.

Deenie Pacik Giuliano, MFA, enjoys teaching all ages with fun demonstrations.  She received a Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Professional Artist Development Grant.  She exhibits in galleries and juried shows, including the Fuller Craft Museum and the Danforth Craft Show of the Danforth Museum of Art.  She has taught stained glass at Franklin Pierce University, as well as fused glass and studio art at the Fuller Craft Museum, Diablo Glass School, Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Ed, and the Boston Architectural College.
