Leaks and repairs

Please Note 

Due to the heavy snow we experienced on February 22 – 23, followed by spring thaws, the flat roof on the Library’s 1988 addition has been leaking for the past 2 weeks, which has resulted in portions of our adult and children’s collections being covered with tarps and cordoned off in order to protect them from being damaged. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. 

We are working with Town Facilities Director Mike Faia and his staff in order to address the leaks and we are waiting for a roofing contractor to do some repairs to the roof. In the meantime, if you need to access any of the materials in our adult non-fiction collection, our DVDs or audiobooks located in the north wing on the main floor, or some non-fiction books in our Children’s Room, please speak with a staff memberand they will be happy to retrieve those materials for you. 

Once the roof has been repaired, Town Facilities will be doing repairs to the ceiling and walls on the interior of the building and all of the items in our adult and children’s collections will be fully accessible once again.
